How to create VPN Connection in Windows, Linux.

            A Virtual Private Network(VPN) allows you to create a secure connection between your system to another system over the network. It also plays important role in intranet Network, to transfer datas securely from one node to another. VPNs are Commonly used to Shield your browsing actibvity on Public Wi-Fi, Unblovking Websites and Bypass filters, Online Anonymity, Remote control,Enhanced Security and much more.

Steps to Configure VPN Connection in WIndows 7:

Step1: Click the Start button and search keyword vpn and then select Set up a virtual private network (VPN) connection option to create new vpn connection.
Step2: Enter IP Address or Domain Name you want to connect.
Step3: If you want to create setup only and dont want to connect, Select Don't connect now, Otherwise leave it as it is, and click next.
Step4: Once the Create VPN Connection Dialog box appears, you can Enter username and Password now or leave it blank, it will be prompted again once your actual login.
Step5: click Connect button, to connect.
Step6: Incase you not able to login, might be problem with server configuration, Check with your Network Administrator.
Step7: Navigate to the Security tab and select the specific “Type of VPN” from the drop-down list. You may also have to unselect Include Windows logon domain under the Options tab. Then click OK and Connect.
Setting up VPN connection will be always easier in Windows based machines and requires no skills

Steps to Configure VPN Connection in WIndows 8:

Creating VPN connection in Windows 8&10 almost same. Taking you to configure VPN in windows 8.

Step1: Start-> search for 'VPN' and select 'Setup Virtual private connection' option.
Step2: Once the 'Create a VPN Connection' Dialog box appears, Enter the Internet address(IP Address of the server which you are trying to connect) and Destination Name(Domain Name). If you have no idea about it, Your Administrator will help you about this.
Step3: (Optional) If you want other users to use this connection, you can check that option.
Step4: All Set, Now click Connect button to the server.
Step5: On successful Connection, you will get shield icon below the network connection.
