My computer is running slow, what steps can I do to fix it?


Fix slow computer problems:

          One of the most common problems are computer is running slow. The reasons behind it may be programs running in the backgroundOver time, regular use of your computer builds up unneeded files and fragments your hard disk. Bad computer habits also contribute to computer slowness. Using multiple programs at once, putting the computer to sleep instead of regularly restarting, browsing the Internet with multiple browser windows, adding plug-ins and services, and neglecting to perform regular maintenance. These all can add up to poor computer performance.
Here are some best practices to keep your computer running at its peak performanc

1.Restart your computer at least once a day:
        Restarting computer is the best practice, it helps by stopping unnecessary services once shutdown the computer.
2.Have minimal programs load at startup:
       When installing some softwares, it will automatically change settings to load the particular software on the startup. Click here to remove the startup files.
3.Do not run multiple security programs parallely:
         Security programs like Antivirus will help you away from the virus. But having multiple security programs may affect the system performance very badly. Avoid having multiple security programs.
4.Remove unwanted browser Add-ins:
           Browsers like Chrome,Firefox are contains Add-ins. Which are helpful for in some cases. But having multiple Addins may also reduce your system speed. 
5.Delete temporary and unwanted files:
         Windows will have Temporary files 2 different locations. One is Windows temporary folder and Another is in user Temporary folder. In order to remove it. Follow the following steps.
          To remove windows temporary files:
Goto start-> run -> type "%temp%" and hit enter.
Now it will open some windows junk files. Select all and delete. skip some files when it prompts any error.
          To remove user Temporary files:
Goto start-> run-> type "temp" and hit enter.
Now it will open users temporary files. Again select all and delete it.
6.Run Windows Updates at regular intervals or enable automatic updates
7.Update all your programs regularly
8.Continually defragment your hard disk
